Our Lender Panel
Trusted Car Finance is a credit broker, not a lender. We work with a panel of UK vehicle-finance lenders and aim to match your circumstances to the products most likely to suit you. This page explains how that panel works, how matching is done, and the limits of what we can promise. Finance is subject to status and to each lender's own criteria.

We are a credit broker, not a lender
Trusted Car Finance ({{LEGAL_ENTITY}}) is a credit broker. We do not lend money ourselves and we do not decide whether your application is approved. Instead, we introduce you to lenders on our panel who may be able to offer you a car-finance agreement.
Any credit agreement you enter into is between you and the chosen lender, not with us. The lender sets the interest rate, the term, the amount you can borrow and the conditions of the agreement, and the lender is responsible for the lending decision.
Trusted Car Finance is applying to become an Appointed Representative of {{PRINCIPAL_NAME}}, an FCA-authorised firm ({{FCA_REF}}). Until that appointment is confirmed and in place, we do not carry out regulated credit-broking activity or promote specific finance products.
What our lender panel is
Our panel is a group of UK vehicle-finance lenders we can introduce customers to. It is designed to cover a range of circumstances rather than a single type of borrower.
The panel spans lenders that focus on prime (stronger credit) applications and lenders that consider adverse or thin credit histories, as well as lenders offering different finance types such as Hire Purchase (HP), Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) and, where appropriate, personal loans.
The panel is reviewed from time to time. Lenders may be added or removed, and the products available through the panel can change. We do not guarantee that any particular lender, product or rate will be available to you when you apply.
Prime and adverse credit
Different lenders on the panel are set up for different credit profiles. Some specialise in applicants with a strong, well-established credit history. Others are willing to consider people with past or current credit difficulties, limited credit history, or specific circumstances such as recent changes in employment.
Having lenders across this range means we can look for options for a wider set of situations. It does not mean any outcome is certain. Whether finance is offered, and on what terms, depends entirely on the lender's assessment of your application. Applicants with adverse credit will usually be offered less favourable terms than applicants with a strong credit history.
How matching works
When you tell us about your circumstances, we look at which lenders on the panel are most likely to be able to help, based on the criteria those lenders have shared with us. We aim to introduce you to a suitable lender rather than send your details to every lender at once.
An initial eligibility check uses a soft search, which has no initial impact on your credit score and is not visible to other lenders as an application. If you decide to proceed, the chosen lender will normally carry out a full (hard) credit search, which does leave a record and which is only done with your consent.
Matching is a way of pointing you towards options that fit. It is not an approval, a pre-approval, or any assurance that a lender will lend to you.
Inclusion and terms depend on lender criteria
Each lender sets its own acceptance criteria, pricing and conditions. We do not control these and we cannot override them. Whether you are offered finance, how much you can borrow, the interest rate, the term and any deposit requirement are all decisions for the lender.
Because of this, we cannot promise that finance will be available to you, cannot guarantee a particular rate, and cannot guarantee acceptance by any lender. A lender may decline an application, or offer terms different from what you expected, for reasons specific to your circumstances and to that lender's policies.
Credit is subject to status and affordability. You must be a UK resident and meet the lender's minimum age and other requirements. Borrowing should always be something you can comfortably afford to repay.
How lenders are chosen for the panel
We assess potential panel lenders on factors such as their regulatory standing, their treatment of customers, the range of circumstances they will consider, and the clarity of their terms. The composition of the panel may also be shaped by the requirements of our principal, {{PRINCIPAL_NAME}}, once our Appointed Representative appointment is in place.
Inclusion on our panel is not an endorsement of a lender for your particular needs. You should read any agreement carefully and make sure it is right for you before you commit.
Commission and how we are paid
Where we introduce you to a lender and you take out finance, we may receive a commission or fee from that lender for the introduction. {{COMMISSION_STATEMENT}}
We will tell you about commission in line with the disclosure rules that apply to us. For full details of how commission works, whether it can vary between lenders and whether it can affect the amount you pay, please see our commission disclosure page at /commission-disclosure/.
We will always aim to act in your interests and to avoid arrangements that would create foreseeable harm.
Vulnerable circumstances and support
If you are worried about money, or your circumstances make it harder to deal with finance — for example due to health, a life event, or difficulty understanding the information — please tell us. We can take extra time, provide information in a clearer way, and make sure any introduction takes your situation into account.
If something goes wrong or you are unhappy with our service, our complaints process is set out at /complaints/. Free, impartial money guidance is available from MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk).
Questions about the panel
If you would like to know more about how our lender panel works, you can contact Trusted Car Finance ({{LEGAL_ENTITY}}) using the details on our contact page. We cannot advise you on which lender is best for you in a personal-recommendation sense unless we tell you clearly that we are doing so; our role is to introduce you to lenders who may be able to help.
This page is for information only and does not form part of any credit agreement.
