1. 1.What cookies are

   Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in the same way. We group them by purpose below rather than listing every individual file, so you can make a meaningful choice. You control non-essential cookies through our consent banner and can change your mind at any time (see “How to change your consent”).

   Until you make a choice, we treat non-essential cookies as switched off. We use Google Consent Mode, which starts in a “denied” state, so analytics and marketing tools do not store or read non-essential information before you consent.

2. 2.Essential cookies

   These are needed for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They include a first-party cookie that remembers your cookie choice (named tcf_consent) so we do not ask you again on every visit, and short-lived storage that keeps your place if you start an eligibility application. These do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.

   Because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for, essential cookies do not require consent under PECR.

3. 3.Functional storage

   To make the application funnel work, we may keep a temporary draft of the details you enter and basic session information on your device. This is functional — it exists to deliver the feature you are using — not to profile you or advertise to you. It is not shared for marketing and is cleared in line with the funnel’s normal lifecycle.

4. 4.Analytics cookies

   With your consent, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example which pages are viewed and how people move through the eligibility journey — so we can improve it. These cookies help us count visits and measure performance in aggregate.

   We do not push directly identifying personal data (such as your name, email or phone number) into these analytics tools. If you do not consent to analytics, these cookies are not set and no analytics events are collected.

5. 5.Marketing and advertising cookies

   With your consent, we use marketing cookies and ad-measurement technologies to understand how well our advertising works and to measure conversions. This includes reading advertising click identifiers that may be added to the web address when you arrive from an advert (for example a Google Ads click identifier), and passing measurement signals to advertising platforms via Google Tag Manager.

   If you do not consent to marketing, we do not store these identifiers for advertising purposes and do not enable ad-personalisation or ad-measurement tags. We do not sell your personal data.

6. 6.How to change your consent

   You can change your cookie choices at any time by selecting “Cookie preferences” in the site footer, which reopens the consent panel. There you can accept all, reject all, or toggle Analytics and Marketing individually; Essential cookies remain on because the site cannot work without them.

   Your choice is stored for around six months, after which we will ask again. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may remove your saved preference and cause the banner to reappear.
